Clinical Case Overview
Tooth #24 presented with significant horizontal and vertical bone loss, rendering it non-restorable. The decision was made to extract the tooth and proceed with socket preservation in anticipation of future implant placement.
Surgical Approach
-
Atraumatic extraction was performed to preserve the remaining socket walls.
-
The DALI One Graft Plug was placed directly into the socket without the use of a membrane.
-
No flap elevation or primary closure was performed, maintaining a minimally invasive protocol.
Postoperative Outcome
A CBCT scan at 3 months post-op demonstrated excellent bony consolidation within the socket and preservation of ridge dimensions. Notably, the buccal-lingual width and vertical height were well-maintained, creating an ideal foundation for implant placement.
Clinical Takeaways
-
The DALI One Graft Plug simplified the socket preservation process without the need for a barrier membrane.
-
Radiographic evidence confirmed effective bone regeneration and maintenance of ridge contour.
-
The product streamlined the surgical workflow while supporting favorable esthetic and functional outcomes.
This case demonstrates the predictability and simplicity of the DALI One Graft Plug for socket preservation, even in compromised clinical scenarios.
